“Mmm, maybe. You know me, I’m quite the competitor. And you bring plenty of ‘A game’,” Quinn chuckled, snuggling closer into Artie’s warm frame. She leaned up, planting a delicate kiss to his lips— she could swear he was almost pouting after. She’d have to keep that in mind before they fell asleep. He deserved a proper kiss, and she wanted one too. “No arguing from me honey, and you do have your moments,” Quinn sighed happily, still smiling up at her husband. It was hard for her not to. He managed to make her feel like the most special person in the world— like she could do anything. And here they were about to have a child. Quinn however, was voicing her slight concern; she kept most of it in, but… what if she screwed up again? She wanted to be a fit mother for this child, and for Artie. Then he was there, promising she would be, that she was— and they’d succeed together. Smiling again, her cheeks flushed and lashes fluttered as hair was brushed from her face. He believed in her; just like back in high school when she’d ended up in a wheelchair. This time she grinned wholly, leaning up to capture his lips in a tender, loving kiss. “Thank you baby,” she mumbled, lips still brushing Artie’s just barely. “For believing in me. I have the best husband in the world.”
“Not enough, apparently,” Artie said with a grin as he looked down at her, watching her move tighter against him. He shifted himself slightly to make her a bit more comfortable before smiling softly down at her. “I don’t think we’ve ever argued about anything, have we?” He asked as he looked upward aimlessly, thinking it over. “Maybe about what sheets to put on our bed or something but nothing major… And all you had to do was pout and you won,” he said with a chuckle before shaking his head, well aware of the fact that he’d just given her ammo for later. He didn’t mind though, she was able to melt him into a puddle of mush regardless of the pouting if he were being completely honest about it all. He wasn’t sure if she had this effect on everyone or if he’d just been one of the really lucky ones. God, he couldn’t imagine what effects their baby was going to have on him. He was probably going to spoil the crap out of the baby girl or baby boy when the time came, he was sure of it. He hadn’t a problem with that either. He was extremely thrilled to be a father and he was determined to be a good one at that. He was shaken from his thoughts when her lips pressed up against his own and he smiled into it before kissing her back thoroughly, relishing in the feeling of their lips meshing together perfectly. When she pulled away, he smiled at her again and nodded his head, “And thank you for believing in me. For making me feel like my chair isn’t a boundary… But simply a means of transportation,” he said with a grin before looking up at her lovingly.
Because I know you, and you’re just naturally amazing.
You sure we’re not talking about you here?

Yeah. Especially when you work with kids. Not that I don’t like that, but enjoying the break.
How are you doing on the happy Quinn front?
Well, I’m glad you’re getting some time to yourself. You deserve it.
Awesome. We’re just super excited and it’s like she’s… glowing, it’s great. How are you and Britt?
Hey, Artie! Not too much really. Classes are over for a few weeks before new kids start, so I’m kind of just hanging out.
What about you?
That’s pretty cool, man. Some down time is always nice.

Me? Just making sure Quinn’s happy and that I’m staying up to date with stuff. Work, I mean.
“I think it works both ways. Besides…” Quinn smirked, “You compliment me enough. I just like to let you know how amazing you are to me.” Artie’s cheeks heated beneath her palm, causing the blonde’s heart to flip at the sight. He was just so special to her; she’d never trade what they had for anything in the world. His playful retort had her giggling again; Quinn’s only response was a chaste kiss to lips and a soft “Mmm s’okay.” Soon Artie’s hand was caressing her clothed stomach, the touch igniting a flutter just beneath. Obviously she wasn’t far enough along for it to be the baby just yet, but he always provoked these sensations, just by a simple touch. “I know so,” she nodded up at him, grinning even more brightly as his hand took hers. Quinn’s fingers laced between his own, fitting perfectly. “Just call it mother’s instinct.” They were planning— discussing baby names and how to handle when she was to go into labor; it was something Quinn wasn’t sure she’d ever get to have - the happiness that came from all of this, and starting a family. Now here she was with the most wonderful person, doing it all. It sort of knocked her pleasantly breathless. “I like that plan, baby. You’ve always been such a smartie.” Fingers trailed along Artie’s neck and rested against his chest, right over beating heart. His own venture of their child’s thoughts had Quinn beaming up at his, almost slightly teary-eyed. “You really think so? That they’re happy, I mean…” she asked, choking back a sniffle. Hormones and emotions were sensitive, but the mist that covered hazel was a happy one. “If I’m a good mother, it’s going to be because of you,” she added, nestling further into his frame. “I love you.”
“I do think you must’ve set a new high for compliments though,” Artie said with a tiny shrug as he looked over at her before sighing contently. If anything, he should’ve been the one showering her with compliments but here she was making him feel like he was on top of the world - just like she did every single day. “I’m gonna have to step up with my A game,” he said with a slight grin before leaning in the rest of the way as he caught her moving to kiss him. He only caught her lips for a quick moment before she was pulling away and he was left almost pouting. She always ignited want from him, the hunger for more of her with just a simple touch. He wasn’t sure how that worked or what ‘magic’ she possessed to get him that way but he wouldn’t want to change it for the world. This was the mother of his child, his wife, His everything. He squeezed her hand slightly before smiling at her, “Can’t argue with that, huh?” He asked with a slight grin before shaking his head as he caught her gaze again. “I have my moments, huh?” He asked with a laugh before nodding slightly at her as his one hand moved to brush hair from her face he spoke up, “I know so,” he said softly before smiling at her once more. “Nope, you’re going to be a good mother because you are a good mother, we’re going to be good parents together, alright? Never doubt yourself.”
Quartie moments in ‘Goodbye’.
